Girly and Fun Backyard Picnic

This girls’ night out was such a fantastic event!! Our client wanted to host a an intimate event for a few of her close girlfriends that was colorful and fun but still elegant and luxurious. She envisioned hosting a casual, feminine, fun night out and wanted her girlfriends to share some snacks and wine, feel cozy and comfortable, and laugh and chat the night away. We decided that a low picnic-style table and cozy cushions for her guests to lounge on would set the perfect tone for the evening. She also wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather of early September evenings, so having the picnic outside was a no brainer.

We decided on a color palette of rose, mustard, and gold that felt feminine and fun but also warm and mature. Lush velvet fabrics for the table runner and napkins, unique blush-colored depression glass goblets from Vintage Alley Rentals, rustic dripping taper candles, incredible local florals from greenSinner, and a breathtaking naked cake with handmade sugar flowers from Cakes by Colby added the perfect elegant, warm, romantic touches to the tablescape. We also made a cool balloon garland to add even more color and texture and a hint of fun to the party setting. And North Arrow Photo perfectly captured the vibe of the event!

Shortly after greeting each other, catching up a bit, and pouring themselves a drink, the girls made themselves at home on the comfy cushions, helped themselves to the delicious charcuterie platters we put together for them, and enjoyed watching the sunset together. When the sun went down, the glow of the bistro lights overhead and the taper candles that dotted the table created the most beautiful ambiance for the rest of their evening. It was truly a magical picnic under the stars that a wonderful group of girlfriends won’t soon forget!
