Bringing the Outside In: Garden Wedding at MuseumLab in Pittsburgh, PA

Nestled in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh, MuseumLab offers a distinctive backdrop for couples seeking a wedding that seamlessly blends timeless history and modern art. Formerly the Carnegie Free Library of Allegheny, this venue recently received a multi-million-dollar renovation that revealed its original 1890 archways, columns, and mosaic floors. Now it is a unique space that honors the past while welcoming the future.

The venue’s versatility allowed for seamless transitions from an intimate ceremony to a beautiful dinner to a lively reception. Every moment of our couple’s special day was captured in a setting as unique as their love.

As guests arrived in MuseumLab’s Grable Gallery, they were greeted by the soothing melodies of Radiant Strings Quartet, their music floating through the air and setting a serene tone for the ceremony. The ceremony itself was a testament to the bride and groom’s love story. With heartfelt vows exchanged under an incredible ceiling installation, there was not a dry eye among the guests. The couple’s genuine affection for each other resonated in every word spoken, making it clear that this day was not just about the union of two individuals, but the merging of two souls.

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the second floor Gathering Space, where they mingled and congratulated the newlyweds and were treated to a delightful array of refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. Meanwhile, the dinner area awaited in the third floor Assembly Hall with elegant tables adorned in pastel hues of ivory and sage, each table featuring delicate pastel florals, twinkling candles, and vintage-inspired dishware. The mood was lively and jubilant as friends and family gathered to celebrate. 

The night continued to unfold with joyous toasts, heartfelt speeches, and moments of pure bliss. The bride and groom, radiant with happiness, danced the night away surrounded by the love and support of their closest friends and family.
